One month from today,
we will no longer live across the street from the
ARABIAN SEA.
With that in mind, I decided to take
SHALLIE
for a long morning walk down the beach yesterday.
We bid good morning
to our resident camels, who were not quite ready
to begin their day!
It was even too early for their owners
to be up and moving.
All was quiet around their modest tent!
The beach was almost empty --
the perfect scenario when walking a dog on a
"No Dogs Allowed" beach!
SHALLIE
loved the sand and
was okay with the water....at a distance!
We actually saved lives yesterday morning
on our journey along the sea.
We threw exactly 25 stranded starfish
back into the water!
I'm sure they were thrilled beyond belief that
we decided to walk the beach!
Aren't you thrilled beyond belief that
I didn't take pictures of
I didn't take pictures of
all 25 of them?
As we sifted through sea shells and
returned the starfish to the awaiting water,
I couldn't help but think,
"Isn't nature absolutely amazing?"
There's nothing quite as peaceful
as an empty beach
on a beautiful morning at sunrise!
Several hours later,
I returned to that beach and found it
filled with people!
It will sure be different living in the Midwest of the
United States of America
once again.
Indianapolis is a long, long way
from a beach!
But I can't wait to smell freshly cut grass
and surround myself with sorely missed family and friends!
HAPPY TGI-TH, everyone!
Here's another video of SHALLIE on the beach!
Sending you all lots of sunshine!
