We joined up with John at the end of the evening
No one, but NO ONE can come to visit us
without a trip to the
CENTRE FOR CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING!
We enjoyed a traditional Emirate breakfast
and learned lots at the Q&A session!
The Centre added something new this year--
HENNA TATOO PAINTING!
Then off to the TEXTILE SOUK we walked --
it sure didn't take Dan long to become one with
the shop keepers!
Actually, Brianna and Nathan got right into it as well!
Nathan found the gold he'd been dreaming about!
We jumped an ABRA RIDE over to the SPICE SOUK.
Then on to the GOLD SOUK!
(Nathan was in hog heaven, to be sure!)
We joined up with John at the end of the evening
for a HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKIE! celebration!
And capped the evening off with a
CAPTAIN JACK CRUISE
through the Dubai Marina!
And, just like that, DAY FOUR was over!
MARCH 21, 2013
Up bright and early once again
(so much to see; so little time)
and ate a yummy home cooked breakfast.
(Thank you John!)
Then off to the MEYDAN HOTEL...
and the MEYDAN RACE TRACK!
We raced back to the flat, without a minute to spare,
and were picked up by our
DESERT SAFARI dune bashing driver!
Jackie found the barf bags straight away and
readily prepared herself!
The evening was filled with dune bashing,
sand boarding,
henna tattoos,
a magic show
(Brianna and Nathan participated!),
belly dancing,
and a delicious Arabian dinner!
We were surrounded by gorgeous sand dunes by day,
and got to see a breathtaking sunset by night.
WOOHOO!
We loved our desert safari!
And, just like that, DAY FIVE was over!
