PEEPS IN DUBAI! DAY NINE!

We were up early and excited

for our

Musandam Dhow Day!

It was a (somewhat) beautiful morning

for a road trip

through the Hajar Mountains

to the Sheesa Beach Dibba/Oman Port.

  

Yes, the sky was actually BLUE

(for the first time since Bev and Mary arrived in the UAE)

and it was a much appreciated

CLEAR day!

It just doesn't get better than....

a day on the water,

spent on chaise loungers, soaking up the sunshine

on the top deck of an old Dhow! 

 Bev and I were excited

to snorkel 

and were pleasantly surprised

at how clear the water was!

We saw an eel (well, I did anyway!), one lonely barracuda, and a couple of awesome squid!

(Boo -- no underwater camera today as the strap broke!)

  

Mary, (swimmer that she is -- NOT!) opted

to ride a ferry to shore where 

she met up with the Goat Man

and befriended 
many, many goats!

  

We met back at our chairs to relax in the sun 

and to watch it set over the water.

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!

  

Our day in Oman was AWESOME.

  

On the way back to port 

we spotted

a horse (yes, a horse) running along the beach

while the Call To Prayer echoed 

through the mountains!

  

And when we cruised into the bay to dock

we spotted the
 infamous fish auction taking place! 

  

The drive back was memorable, to say the least!

Bev and Mary announced

that they would 

NEVER

EVER
EVER

drive in the UAE!
We survived the CRAZY mountain roads and.....

.....hurried to the Wafi Mall 
(with no time to freshen up, of course!),
just in time to 

meet up with John to watch the movie 
The Proposal

on the rooftop, under the stars,
nestled in comfy bean bag chairs!

  
Later that night, after we were back at our flat,
(pooped, to say the least!)
Mary's Canon captured
the beautiful views we enjoy every night! 

It was a perfect ending to 

the perfect day

with 

THE PEEPS IN DUBAI!
