As many of you know, I have been taking a Yoga Class every Tuesday night for the past 3-4 years. (Time flies when you are having, ohhhhhh so much, fun!) It's not just a Yoga Class. It's a laugh fest. It's therapy. It's a feel good two hours. It's a better week after. It's a spiritual thing. It's just FABULOSO!!! And I miss it! I miss Sara, our wonderful instructor and friend. I miss my fellow yogis. I miss the friendly banter (Don). I just really, really miss the class!!
And miss it I have for two solid weeks! My yoga mat was supposed to be delivered with our shipment a couple of days ago. However, we recently learned that it is out there somewhere with the wrong airway bill number attached to it! "Don't worry" was our instruction, so worry we will not. Besides the fact that most of my clothes, Teddy's potty patch, Teddy's potty pads, Teddy's bed, Teddy's food, Teddy's toys, (are you getting the picture yet?) are in that shipment, really the only thing I CAN'T BELIEVE I AM WITHOUT is my yoga mat!
So yesterday morning I decided, yoga mat or not, I was going to have my very own Tuesday Night Yoga Class Wednesday Morning. Let me set the stage:
1. Cold, hard marble tile floor sans yoga mat.

2. No other yogi friends present. Teddy did try, though, he really did!
3. Sara, not in the flesh but on the TV, leading me through my class. (Thanks again, Lisa, for videotaping our class -- I think it turned out awesome!!)

So there I was all alone, yet not all alone! Listening to Sara guide me and guide our class through Down Dogs, Up Dogs, Tree Pose, Pigeon, Sun Salutations. And it was good! I could almost visualize myself in that Tuesday night class!! And the Shivasana (okay, I have absolutely NO IDEA how to spell that!) was pretty darn good too, except that Teddy (the new yogi in my Tuesday Night Yoga Class Wednesday Morning) kept licking my face. He'll have to learn to do a proper Shivasana!!
He is working on his Pigeon Pose, but complained that his knees just won't bend that far!!

All in all, it was an okay attempt to recreate my beloved Yoga Class!!! I feel better. I stretched out all the "yuck", as Sara puts it! However, the hard tile floors wreaked havoc on my knees!!
Yes, I miss my fellow yogis. Yes, I miss my Sara. Yes, I miss my yoga mat. But my view was magical!

My view was inspiring!

My view was utterly magical!

And have I told you yet that my view was SPECTACULAR? Sorry, YMCA, but you have to admit your view is quite lacking!!
And that, my friends, was my first of many Tuesday Night Yoga Class Wednesday Morning!! Hope to see you there!!
