(He's had it for the past nine years!)

(The biggest purchase he's made, to date!)

Dinner with good FRIENDS is always

Actually, just driving is a thrill!

Missed class, however, made it to a dinner gathering!

This morning,

while drinking my first cup of coffee,

I had a visitor!

OMGosh, a visitor that would NEVER EVER

come to my door

in Dubai!

(It doesn't matter that I live on the 22nd floor!)

in K-town

with my Mother-in-Law, Sisters-in-Law,

Aunt, cousins, nieces,

second cousins,

great nieces and great nephews!

And, likewise, NOTHING is better

than scoping out

someone's new home!

Ahhhh, Indianapolis, how I've missed you!

Yes, these are a few of my favorite missed things & people!!

AND THE FUN BEGINS....NOW!!!!

What a wonderful day it was, it was!

There were blue skies (oh, how I've missed them);

green, green, green trees, bushes, grass (oh my);

and fabulous temps of 80 some degrees

coupled with a nice, soft blowing breeze.....

....and my PEEPS!

It just doesn't get any better than this!

We met for a delightful lunch outside in Broad Ripple!

Shared some gifts from India!



Walked the fabuloso Monon Trail!

 

Then enjoyed a well deserved ice cream

and coffee break!!

We were together all day

but it seemed

like only minutes!!

We bid our good byes (until next time)

and off I went to visit

Rosebud!!

Ahhhh, it was sooooo wonderful seeing her again!

Went home to grill steaks out with Jon and Jas
and was pleasantly surprised by

a call from my sister -- she was in Indianapolis!

It was a bonus evening, to be sure!

Patte came over, had dinner on the deck with us,

and I forgot to take even one picture!

Yes, the fun certainly began today!

AHHHH, IT'S GREAT TO BE BACK!

AAAAH, it's great to be back in 

in the good 'ol USA!

HE'S READY....BUT AM I?

Sporting his new

BOO DO,

Teddy is ready to begin his vacation!

His pills (EEE GADS) are ready!

His food and his treats are ready!

His big, soft bed and his squeaky toys are ready!

Yes, I guess he's ready to go!

But the question is, am I?

I can't wait to get back to Indianapolis 
to visit family and friends! 
And I can't wait to get a great big hug from Jon and Jas!

But this face...I'm going to really miss this little face!

S'long Tedders, have a great time at WOOF!!
I'll see you in (yikes) two months!

Today was my LAST day at our pool in Dubai

for the next two months.

THIS I WILL MISS!!

 

A FIRST...AND A LAST!

It was a FIRST and a LAST

for me

this morning!

Yesterday was our LAST time 
playing golf at Emirates with Paula as our fourth.
 

Today, Lynn, Lorraine and I snuck off early (way early)

to Jebel Ali Golf Course

to play our very LAST game of golf together,

before I leave for the States,

and Lynn leaves for Canada,

and Lorraine leaves for the United Kingdom!

And we played for the very FIRST time (for me, that is)

at Jebel Ali, which is a big girl's course,

and I LOVED IT!!!

It was absolutely beautiful 
with long, luscious green fairways,

lined with majestic palm trees, 
 

gorgeous (and loud) peacocks, 

ball eating (but peaceful) lakes,

and, unfortunately for me, 
 lots and lots (and LOTS) of sand!

 
But I LOVED being able to drive 
the golf carts
that generated a bit of a breeze
which was certainly welcome on this 
hot and humid (OMG) morning!

(Our camels enjoyed the ride as well!)

What an AWESOME morning it was!
We all played well (WOOHOO),
and actually survived the high temperatures!

Even though it really was our LAST golf game
together for awhile, 
we made plans for lessons, clinics, and lots and lots of golf
when we reconvene later this year!


Jebel Ali was a gorgeous course 
with a spectacular ending!

 Dang, will you just look at those boats!
We need to figure out a way
to get on one of those!!
