We were formally welcomed at the Udaipur airport!
And were fascinated by the sights we saw
through the streets
on the way to our hotel!
Began the day
with
poolside yoga!
Ahhhh, it just doesn't get better than this!
Then a leisurely breakfast,
got packed, said our good-byes to Delhi,
and off to the airport we went!
On the way we saw women in saris riding sideways on motorcycles, thousands of automated rickshaws,
street vendors and our first monkey

AWESOME but I wasn't fast enough to get a photo.
Promises were made that I would
see many monkeys roaming free before the trip was over!
Next stop: Udaipur, India!
We arrived at the airport and chuckled when we saw this statue -- sooooo appropriate for our journey
through India!

at The Oberoi Udaivilas.....

We strolled down a dock on a beautiful lake
where our ride awaited us!
And what a ride it was -- absolutely breathtaking!
The official welcoming was over the top
(as was the hotel itself -- and we quickly learned
that we were upgraded to suites)!
After arriving to our rooms and unpacking.....
we found a great way to relax and spend the evening!
Yes, THIS is India! UDAIPUR!
