JONATHAN et al. ARE IN DUBAI! (Day 7)

Agenda for the day:

1. THE COURTYARD!

This is who we wanted to see about repairing
Jonathan's Christmas present.....
but, alas, he wasn't there!
(SHALLIE, cough cough, chewed the cork off of Jon's!)

2. BOB'S ANTIQUE MUSEUM

It was a successful trip

as no one got lost in the bowels of Bob's!

And several treasures were purchased as well!

3. CARA JEWELERS 
No luck at Cara's!  We'll be venturing back to the
 Gold Souq before
JONATHAN et al. leave Dubai!

4. BEST BURGERS FOREVER LUNCH

John had a beef burger -- spoil sport!

Nathan, Ted and Miranda had their first camel burger!

Jonathan enjoyed his first camel hump burger!

5. DESERT SAFARI

6. CAMELS!

7. DUNE BASHING!

8. PICTURES IN THE DESERT!

9. CAMEL RIDES!

10. SAND BOARDING!

A very busy but wonderful day was had by all!

JONATHAN et al.

jumped into our car bright and early this morning

for a trip to 

SNOOPY ISLAND, FUJAIRAH

to go snorkeling and diving!

The drive there was special -- especially with 

CAMEL SIGHTINGS!

That would be, side of the road camel sightings!

The drive is always a beautiful one,

first with the orange desert sands and then with the 

HAJAR MOUNTAINS!

were surprised by all the UAE flags flying along our way.

We drove passed some tiny, quaint mosques,

and many a camp site along the beaches of the

INDIAN OCEAN!

Finally we made it to 

SNOOPY ISLAND

where Nathan and I went scuba diving and 

the others enjoyed snorkeling!

The sea wasn't exactly clear,

but we did see some beautiful fish and.....

only Ted spotted a shark and

A TURTLE!!!

I was bummed I didn't see it, however, was thrilled

that someone did!

Yes, as always, it was an amazing day at

SNOOPY ISLAND!

On the drive home we went by the

FRIDAY MARKET.

But no one in the car wanted to get out to shop!

They all were exhausted from the water!

So they simply went sightseeing out the car windows!

We got to watch an amazing sunset as we

drove back into Dubai.

Then off to the Dubai Mall to have dinner by the

DUBAI FOUNTAIN!

This was the morning that

JONATHAN et al.

went to

AT THE TOP

of the

BURJ KHALIFA,

the tallest building in the world!

Luckily, it was a pretty clear morning

so that they could see

DUBAI

from way up high!

When they were finished 

seeing everything there was to see 

AT THE TOP,

they traveled to the Jebel Ali Metro Station

to appeal an earlier citation.

(More on this later!)

Because I didn't take any more pictures that day,

I have no idea what 

JONATHAN et al.

did for the rest of the day--but 
I think some pool time was enjoyed!

(Help me out here, you guys!)

Oh, I think this was the night we ate in, 

watched the movie LONE SURVIVOR and enjoyed strawberry cheesecake smoothies, thanks to Miranda!

But one thing is for certain -- Jonathan 

enjoyed some SHALLIE time!

And SHALLIE enjoyed some Jonathan time!
